Fans Views "Mecca of soccer(football) in NYC. Next best thing to being at the game. Shows games from the EPL, La Liga, Serie A, MLS, Champions League, UEFA Cup, World Cup, Euros, FA Cup, African Cup of Nations. 8 foot projection screen in back. Many screens behind bar. Don't take the kids here. Americans say they will never get the full effect watching the game on TV - I say you have never been to Nevada Smiths. If you want to chant during the game - this is the place. No food - can bring in food. Plenty of beer choices on tap. This place rules. Jack is the man! Home of the NY Gooners (, NY Blues (, and Man U USA (" (TheKilmer)

"Another thumbs up from the New York Tartan Army ( Of all the bars in the city, including those with supposed Scottish connections, Nevada's has been hands down the most supportive in showing Scotland games when they are available. Jack has been incredibly professional in dealing with us. The atmosphere also happens to be the best in the city (as long as don't expect refinement or a family friendly environment)." (Kenny McColl)

Just want to add that Nevada Smiths is very UNFRIENDLY to the American soccer fans. Many times they have screwed us over USMNT games by charging a cover when they said they wouldn't, and then shoving us downstairs away from the rest of civilization. The patrons are very condescending towards American soccer, and management screws us over all the time. With that said, it's a great place to watch your Euro footy, as long you have a cockney accent. (M.C.)

"Nevada's is now the premiere location for watching footie-- not only in New York, but in the United States. It is especially the venue of choice for the English Premier League. For top-of-the-table clashes, expect wall-to-wall people. Get there early, and bring a thirst and your singing voice. It is also HQ for New York fans of Chelsea, Man U, Arsenal, Newcastle, and others." (Lee Johnson, Aug 2006)
